Members participated in an exercise on “How to Loosen Up”

Michele and Vic provided each participant with 4 small 5 x 7 pastel papers all the same color.

We preformed 4 timed exercises. All were provided with same image.

Exercise #1 was to Use Local Color – 1 dark, 1 light and 6 medium values - 12 minutes
Exercise #2 Use either all cool or all warm color – 6 colors only – 9 minutes
Exercise #3 Use 5 neutral colors and 1 bright color – 8 minutes
Exercise #4 Use analogous colors or complimentary colors 7 minutes

All participants placed their practice pieces on the table for viewing.  We had so much fun, it was great to see how each individual interpreted and created thee exercises. We all agreed it was very beneficial and we want to do a similar meeting in the future!
